North Okaloosa's Charming Volunteer Recognition Dinner

Our Annual Volunteer Recognition Event for North Okaloosa County went off without a hitch in the charming Italian bistro, Vitaliano. Owner, Giuseppe Vitagliano, provided a full Italian buffet of pasta dishes and rustic pizzas.

We were honored to have a young woman, Marie, speak to us. She used to be a child in the Guardian ad Litem Program and spoke of the special relationship she developed and has maintained with her Volunteer Child Advocate, Donna Franke.

Each of the Child Advocate Managers acknowledged the unique gifts our volunteers bring to their roles.

Samantha Cutsinger and Kay Godwin accepted the award of Community Partner of the Year on behalf of the Okaloosa Board of the County Commissioners. They have been so supportive of our presence in North Okaloosa and have graciously given us a space to have our in-service trainings.

The award for Volunteer of the Year went to Jimmie Miller. Jimmie is always willing to take on tasks, even those that are difficult. She is exceptionally reliable, getting all of her reports done thoroughly and timely. We are so grateful for her!

Thanks to all the remarkable staff, volunteers, foundation, and community partners who have supported our program in the North Okaloosa region.
